Air transport of dogs from the Republic of Belarus to the UAE

Delivery of four service dogs from Minsk to the UAE at the request of the Сanine Training Centre of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus under the strict guidance of specialists from STALOGISTIC Air Freight Department.

Specific features of delivery:

Mode of transport: Air/Turkish Airlines.

Cargo: four service dogs (German shepherds).

Itinerary: Minsk airport – Abu Dhabi airport (UAE) with transit through Istanbul airport.

Out of Gauge Air Freight

Air transport of a heavy swivel (an element of a drilling rig) from China to Russia. The weight of one swivel without packaging is 3,200 kg. As a result, we had to pickup the cargo and package it on our own.

After packaging, the weight of one swivel increased to 3,942 kg, and the total weight of the entire shipment amounted to 8,742 kg. Together with the agent, our team developed a cargo consolidation plan for balancing the aircraft load in the most optimal way.

Charter to Romania

Charter flight at the urgent request of a client for the delivery of 25 pallets to Romania. Our Air Freight Department quickly developed a solution and received the green light from the client for the organization of the delivery.

On the "last mile" section, the delivery time from the Bucharest cargo terminal to the recipient’s warehouse amounted to a record 2 hours 10 minutes! The total door-to-door delivery time amounted to a total of 30 hours and 34 minutes!

Shipments Containing Batteries

In order to dispatch shipments that contain batteries, additional documents are required for some countries. A DGM report is required for shipments from mainland China. This is a special test confirming the safety of the cargo. For shipments from Hong Kong, you will need an MSDS.

Chargeable Weight

Payments to air carriers are made based on chargeable weight. The chargeable weight for air transport is the greater of the gross weight and the volumetric weight.

Transport of Dangerous Goods

The international organization ICAO regulates and controls the transport of dangerous goods by air. This is a special UN agency that sets and monitors civil aviation standards. For shipping dangerous goods, it is necessary to provide a relevant MSDS and ensure that the cargo is packaged in accordance with the ICAO standards.

Preparation for Customs Clearance

It is important to prepare all documents for customs clearance in advance, since delays lead to additional costs associated with the storage of cargo at the airport terminal.

Cargo Loading Sequence

During freight calculation, it is necessary to take into account that priority is first given to passenger luggage, postal shipments and diplomatic cargo.
