Container ship delays have increased after two months of stability

According to Sea-Intelligence, in July of this year the index of compliance with the linear schedule has not changed and remained at the level of the June indicator – 64.2%. In comparison with last year's indicator, the growth amounted to 23.8 percentage points.
The average delay time in comparison with the previous month increased by 0.21 days to 4.59 days. And this is the first increase after two months of stability, Sea-Intelligence noted. However, this indicator is still lower than it was recorded in July last year – by 1.86 days (approx. SeaNews: The average delay time is calculated only for late ships, excluding those that arrived on time.
The MSC was the most reliable in terms of schedule compliance in June of this year – its compliance with the schedule was 71.5%. The MSC is followed by Maersk and Hamburg Süd, whose schedule compliance index was 69.8 each. Wan Hai's schedule compliance was 69.5%.
Yang Ming had the lowest compliance rate with the schedule – 51.3%.
